Our Adoption Program

Give a rescued pet bunny a second chance. We guide potential adopters through our application and screening process to help find the perfect match.

Application and screening process

As a licensed animal shelter, we have a highly selective adoption process to ensure our rescued residents are placed only in the most optimal home environment. This includes matching the unique personality of each rabbit with the lifestyle and routine of the potential adopter. As such, not all inquiries/appointments will result in adoption.
Please review the information and adoption process below if you have been thinking about making a rabbit a permanent, active member of your family.
  1. Check out our key facts on pet rabbits to help decide if a rabbit is the right pet for you.

  2. Download and fill out our Adoption Inquiry Application (pdf) to give us basic information about you for our initial screening. Save the file and include it when you contact us.

  3. We will review your application and generally respond within 1-3 days.
***Please check your spam folder if you do not receive a reply to your inquiry.

  4. After our initial screening, we will schedule an appointment to meet you in person so you can meet our resident rabbits. In advance of your appointment, please review our Adoption Manual (pdf), which contains information on how to establish an environment and routine for your rabbit if you do adopt.

  5. If your appointment results in adoption, we collect a non-refundable adoption fee ($90 for a single or $150 for an established pair). This fee covers part of the veterinary costs we paid in spaying or neutering the rabbit. After adoption we will continue to be available to answer questions that arise after you have your bunny at home.
